Subaru chce poprawić 2,3 mln aut na całym świecie z powodu wady w światłach stopu, donosi Reuters.

Szósty japoński producent aut poinformował, że musi poprawić ok. 300 tys. aut modeli impreza i forester w Japonii i prawie 2 mln na świecie. Subaru tłumaczy, że wada w systemie świateł stopu może powodować problemy z uruchamianiem silnika. Występuje w autach wyprodukowanych w latach 2008-2017....

Subaru Corp. said Friday its operating profit for the past year has halved after it suffered a string of setbacks including production delays and mounting recalls.
Japan’s seventh-biggest automaker released its results hours ahead of schedule after it inadvertently uploaded its financial results on its website earlier than planned. The company initially withdrew the material, but not before social media noticed, sending its shares down more than 2 percent after the error.

The results, officially released at 10:25 a.m. instead of the scheduled 1 p.m., showed operating profit had fallen 48.5 percent to ¥195.53 billion ($1.78 billion) in the year ended in March, in line with analysts’ estimates.

“We deeply apologize for the trouble this has caused,” the maker of Legacy sedans and Forester sport-utility vehicle crossovers wrote in an emailed statement about the early release.

For the year through March 2020 Subaru expects operating profit to jump 33 percent to ¥260 billion, under international accounting standards it is adopting from this year, as it expects vehicle sales to recover and rise 5.8 percent to 1.058 million units.

Under the previously used Japanese accounting standards, operating profit would rise 28 percent to ¥250 billion, it said.

Tokyo, April 17 (Jiji Press)--Japanese automaker Subaru Corp. <7270> said Friday it will suspend production at two aircraft parts plants in Aichi Prefecture in line with a production halt at U.S. aircraft giant Boeing Co.
Subaru's Handa and Handa West plants in the central Japan prefecture will stop production from Monday to May 1.

Subaru Revises Up Earnings Forecasts for FY 2020
Tokyo, Nov. 4 (Jiji Press)--Subaru Corp. <7270> said Wednesday the Japanese automaker has made upward revisions to its group earnings projections for the current fiscal year ending next March.
The company now forecasts an operating profit of 110 billion yen, up 30 billion yen from the previous estimate, and a net profit of 80 billion yen, up 20 billion yen, on sales of 2,950 billion yen, up 50 billion yen.

Subaru Acquires 0.3 Pct Stake in Toyota
Tokyo, Jan. 20 (Jiji Press)--Subaru Corp. <7270> said Wednesday it has acquired about 8.97 million shares in Toyota Motor Corp. <7203>, or around 0.3 pct of all outstanding shares of the leading Japanese automaker, for some 70 billion yen.
The share acquisition was made in line with the business and capital alliance agreement announced by the two Japanese automakers in September 2019.

Japanese automaker Subaru Corp. said Friday it has cut its global sale outlook by 43,000 units to 868,000 vehicles and revised downward its earnings estimate in fiscal 2020 ending in March due to a global semiconductor shortage.

The tight chip supply has been a headache for automakers around the world, as it has forced Toyota Motor Corp., Nissan Motor Co. and others to slash output despite recovering auto sales amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Subaru downgraded its net profit outlook in the current business year to 75 billion yen ($710 million) and operating profit estimate to 100 billion yen, from its previous forecast of 80 billion yen and 110 billion yen, respectively, due to a decline in production caused by the chip shortage.

The automaker said its sales outlook was revised downward to 2.85 trillion yen, 100 billion yen lower than the previous plan.

In the nine months through December, Subaru's net profit fell 33.6 percent from a year earlier to 74.21 billion yen, as the pandemic hit its earnings hard in the April to June quarter and losses were not made up for in the following months.

In the April to December period, its operating profit dropped 35.6 percent from the previous year to 98.25 billion yen, on sales of 2.07 trillion yen, down 16.5 percent.

Meanwhile, Mazda Motor Corp. said Thursday its global production will be cut by 7,000 vehicles in February from the initial plan due to the chip shortage.

General Motors Co. also said earlier in the week it will reduce production at four plants in the United States, Canada, Mexico and South Korea starting Monday.

Subaru to Cut Auto Output by 10,000 Units amid Chip Shortage
Tokyo, April 6 (Jiji Press)--Japan's Subaru Corp. <7270> will partially suspend the operations of an automobile assembly plant in Gunma Prefecture, eastern Japan, due to a global semiconductor shortage, a measure that is expected to lead to an output cut of some 10,000 units.
Of the three assembly lines for finished vehicles at the Gunma plant, two will be halted from Saturday, Subaru said Monday. Models manufactured on the two lines include the Outback and Forester SUVs.

Daihatsu, Subaru to Extend Plant Suspensions in Japan
Tokyo, Sept. 7 (Jiji Press)--Daihatsu Motor Co. and Subaru Corp. <7270> will extend their plant suspensions in Japan as parts shipments from Southeast Asia are being delayed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus there.
Daihatsu will extend the suspension at most of its main plant in Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, to newly cover the five days through Sept. 17. At a subsidiary's Oita No. 2 plant in Nakatsu, Oita Prefecture, the suspension will newly cover the two days through Sept. 14.
