Northrop Grumman Corporation (NOC - Get Report) is expected to report earnings of $4.59 a share on sales of $8.3 billion before the market opens Apr. 24, based on a FactSet survey of 20 analysts.

In the same period a year ago, the company posted earnings of $4.21 a share on sales of $6.7 billion.

The stock has risen 2.7% since the company last reported earnings on Jan. 31.

Quarterly estimates have risen less than 1 cent a share in the past month.

Northrop Grumman is currently trading at a price-to-forward-earnings ratio of 14.7 based on the 12-month estimates of 21 analysts surveyed by FactSet.

Estimates: Analysts expected Northrop's EPS to climb 18% to $4.64 with revenue also rising 18% to $8.4 billion.

Results: Northrop earnings rose to $5.06 a share as revenue grew 19% to $8.46 billion.

Outlook: After easily beating Q2 profit views, Northrop sees full-year adjusted EPS of $19.30-$19.50 vs. its late April view of $18.90-$19.30. It still sees revenue at about $34 billion.

Northrop Grumman Corp.’s (NYSE:NOC) business subsidiary, Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., recently secured a $1-billion contract for the production of Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars. These radars will be installed in the Air Force’s F-16 aircraft, developed by Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) .

The modification contract was awarded by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Fighter Bomber Directorate, F-16 Division, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.

Per the deal terms, Northrop Grumman Systems Corp will definitize all three phases of the program to include development and production of up to 372 AESA radars. Work related to the deal will be performed at Linthicum
Heights, MD, and is expected to get completed by May 2027.
