MILAN (Reuters) - Luxury sports car maker Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) announced plans on Monday to shake up its leadership structure, in one of new boss Benedetto Vigna's first major moves, and said three top managers will leave the company.
Those who have decided to leave include Chief Technology Officer Michael Leiters, the carmaker said.
The planned reorganisation, to be unveiled in detail on Jan. 10, was consistent with Ferrari's "strategic goals of exclusivity, excellence and sustainability", it said.
Vigna, an industry veteran, took the CEO role at the beginning of September with a task to drive Ferrari into the new era of electrification.
The new management structure will "further foster innovation, optimise processes and increase collaboration both internally and with partners", the carmaker said.
Leiters, a German national who joined Ferrari in 2014, has helped develop Ferrari's recent most successful models, including the 2019's SF90 Stradale and this year's 296 GTB, the house's first two hybrid electric cars.
Other top managers leaving the company are Chief Manufacturing Officer Vincenzo Regazzoni and Chief Brand Diversification Officer Nicola Boari, who oversaw Ferrari's push into luxury, with the unveiling in June of its first in-house fashion collection.

Strong orders at Ferrari set to support growth after record 2021
MILAN (Reuters) -Ferrari has orders stretching into 2023 after delivering a record number of cars last year, Chief Executive Benedetto Vigna said on Wednesday, reflecting a surge in demand for luxury vehicles despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
That demand allowed Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) to predict a rise in its core earnings this year, in the wake of record results in 2021.
"We have the strongest-ever order book in our history, up double digits versus the prior year and covering well into 2023," Vigna told analysts, presenting the annual results after taking charge of the company last September with a task to lead it into a new era of cleaner, quieter and interconnected mobility.
Milan-listed shares in Ferrari reversed early losses and were up 1.4% by 1610 GMT.
Shipments jumped 22% to 11,155 cars last year compared to COVID-hit 2020 and were up 10% from pre-pandemic 2019, the company said.
All regions saw double-digit growth, supported by strong sales of 8-cylinder models, including the F8 family as well as the 205,000-euro ($232,000) Roma grand tourer and the 430,000-euro hybrid SF90 Stradale. Shipments of more powerful but also more polluting 12-cylinder models fell.
Ferrari plans two new models this year, including the much-awaited Purosangue, its first sport utility vehicle (SUV), completing a plan to launch a total of 15 new vehicles it had announced in 2018.
Ferrari, whose 'Prancing Horse' brand is known worldwide for roaring combustion engines, has promised its first all-electric car in 2025, while it has already rolled out three hybrid models.
In a sign of a strong demand worldwide for luxury cars, last year Rolls-Royce (OTC:RYCEY), owned by Germany's BMW, saw its sales soar 49% to a record and Porsche, part of Volkwagen, delivered more than 300,000 vehicles, with an increase in all regions.
CORE PROFIT
Ferrari on Wednesday forecast adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of 1.65-1.70 billion euros this year, up from 1.53 billion euros in 2021.
Last year's result was in line with a company-provided forecast of around 1.52 billion euros, and represented a 34% increase on the previous year.
The margin on adjusted EBITDA hit a higher-than-expected record of 35.9% last year. That figure is expected to slip this year to between 34.5%-35.5% the company said.
Following this strong set of results, the company paid all its employees a record performance-linked bonus for 2021 of a gross amount as much as 12,000 euros.
Vigna, a tech industry veteran and former top executive at chip maker STMicroelectronics, will unveil the company's future strategy at a capital markets day on June 16.
He has said that Ferrari would make technology partnerships a priority, as the company moves ahead with its electrification strategy while maintaining financial discipline.

It follows Ferrari's previous three hybrid models that went into full series production -- the SF 90 Stradale in 2019, its convertible version, called SF90 Spider, in 2020 and last year's 296 GTB.
The 296 GTS is a convertible version, fitted with a retractable hard top, of the existing 296 GTB, a luxury car which sells for around 300,000 euros ($324,000).
The two cars share most relevant features, including a 6-cylinder (V6) mid-rear turbo engine coupled with a 122 KW electric motor for a total of 830 horse power, and 25 km of silent electric-only power.
Its top speed exceeds 330 km/h, Ferrari said.
Deliveries of the new model will start from Europe in early 2023 and the price will be confirmed in due course.
So far Ferrari road cars have been normally powered by V8 or more powerful V12 engines but the company is increasingly reducing the share of highly polluting V12-fitted cars in its production.
Another new model is planned for release in the coming months, the much awaited Purosangue (Thoroughbred). That will be Ferrari's first ever sport utility vehicle (SUV) and bring the company into a lucrative segment where direct rivals such as Volkswagen (ETR:VOWG_p)'s Lamborghini are already present.

Charles Leclerc jest kierowcą niezwykle szybkim, ale też popełniającym błędy. W niedzielę reprezentant Ferrari zanotował zawstydzającą wpadkę podczas wyścigu klasyków w Monako. Leclerc rozbił bolid Nikiego Laudy z 1974 roku.
W niedzielę Charles Leclerc otrzymał do dyspozycji Ferrari 312B3 z 1974 roku, z którego przed laty korzystał Niki Lauda. Demonstracyjny przejazd Monakijczyka zakończył się jednak fatalnie, bo podczas trzeciego okrążenia 24-latek stracił panowanie nad tylną częścią samochodu i rozbił historyczny bolid Formuły 1 w słynnym zakręcie La Rascasse.
Wskutek uderzenia o bandy doszło m.in. do oderwania tylnego skrzydła samochodu. Leclerc był w stanie ruszyć uszkodzonym bolidem, ale po chwili zatrzymał się na prostej, po tym jak z silnika zaczął unosić się dym.
- Straciłem hamulce, straciłem hamulce! Zahamowałem, a p e d a ł momentalnie zrobił się twardy i wpadł w podłogę. Miałem szczęście, że to stało się akurat w takim miejscu, bo gdyby wydarzyło się to w innym... - powiedział zaraz po zajściu Leclerc przed kamerami telewizyjnymi.

Ferrari zapowiedziało, że w tym tygodniu przeprowadzi szczegółowe dochodzenie w swoich szeregach, aby w pełni zrozumieć, z czego wynikały nieprawidłowości w ich strategii podczas wyścigu na ulicach Monte Carlo minionej niedzieli.
Ferrari było w dobrym położeniu, prowadząc z obydwoma samochodami w GP Monako, ale seria błędów kosztowała stajnię zwycięstwo, a szczególnie zaszkodziła Charlesowi Leclercowi.
Red Bull Racing obrał agresywną taktykę dla Sergio Pereza, który jako pierwszy z czołówki zjechał po opony przejściowe na przesychającym torze podczas gdy Ferrari zbyt długo zwlekało z taką zmianą u jadącego na czele Leclerca.

Niedługo później popołudnie 24-latka zostało popsute jeszcze bardziej, gdy źle zaplanowany kolejny pit stop, na tym samym okrążeniu co jego partnera - Carlosa Sainza, kiedy obydwa F1-75 wyposażono w gumy na suchą nawierzchnię, kosztował go kolejną stratę czasu i sprawił, że spadł na czwartą lokatę za Maxa Verstappena.
Leclerc nie szczędził słów po wyścigu, że Ferrari popełniło zbyt wiele błędów, na które nie może sobie pozwolić w walce o mistrzostwo.

Liuni's appointment is the latest step in a management reshuffle announced earlier this year by new Chief Executive Benedetto Vigna to streamline the company's structure.
Vigna was in charge of brand diversification on an interim basis after the departure of Nicola Boari, former head of brand expansion, who left as part of the leadership changes.
