Turbina wiatrowa Siemens Gamesa pobiła rekord, jeśli chodzi o dzienną produkcję z jednego tego typu urządzenia. Na nowy rekord czekaliśmy prawie dwa lata.

Morska turbina wiatrowa Siemens Gamesa SG 14-222 DD pobiła rekord dziennej produkcji, jeśli chodzi o pojedynczy wiatrak. Prototypowe urządzenie zdołało wyprodukować w ciągu doby 359 MWh  energii elektrycznej. 8)

ZURICH (Reuters) -Siemens has signed a deal a with a joint venture of Stellantis, Mercedes Benz and TotalEnergies to supply equipment and technology for electric vehicle battery plants, the German engineering company said on Thursday.

The joint venture - Automotive Cells Company - has a plan worth more than 7 billion euros ($6.79 billion) to build the three gigafactories with a capacity of 40 gigawatt hours (GWh) each by 2030, to support the growing production of electrified vehicles.

Gigafactories is a generic term referring to facilities that produce batteries for electric vehicles on a large scale.

Siemens' digital twin technology will speed up the startup of ACC's factories in Billy-Berclau Douvrin, France, Kaiserslautern, Germany, and possibly Termoli, Italy, Siemens said.

Under the deal, Siemens will become ACC's preferred supplier for automation, digitalisation and electrification technology.

Terms of the partnership, which is part of the Siemens Xcelerator open digital platform launched earlier this year, have not been revealed.

The cloud-based platform, which will feature hardware, software and digital services, is part of Siemens' ambition to grow its digital business by 10% per year from the 5.6 billion euros ($5.89 billion) generated in 2021.

Siemens will give ACC access to its digital enterprise portfolio of hardware and software, from production design to product design, from product lifecycle management to energy management systems.

"ACC uses virtually the entire spectrum of Xcelerator - from factory construction to production automation to building services," Siemens managing board member Cedrik Neike told Reuters.

"Battery factories - along with semiconductors and intralogistics - are among the super-cycles in which investments must be made regardless of the economy," the executive, who also leads Siemens's Digital Industries division, said.

Siemens on Thursday also announced a deal with electric vehicle company Volta Trucks to deliver electric charging infrastructure for truck customers, to help the transition to electrified vehicles.

Siemens Energy: gas and power business supports optimistic view for 2023

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Siemens Energy, which supplies equipment to the power sector, expects its business catering conventional energy sources to support its optimistic view for 2023, its chief executive said in a speech for the group's annual general meeting.

Siemens Energy's gas and power segment has been a stabilising factor for the group during efforts to fix issues at its struggling wind division, Christian Bruch said in the speech, which was published ahead of the AGM scheduled for Feb. 7.

Siemens closes in on all-time high after guidance upgrade
Feb 09, 2023 08:28AM ET

nvesting.com -- Siemens (ETR:SIEGn) stock soared on Thursday, closing in on an all-time high after a strong start to its fiscal year highlighted the benefits of a profound corporate restructuring over the last decade.

The German engineering giant raised its forecasts for profit and revenue for the year ending in September after posting and 8.1% rise in revenue in the three months through December to €18.1 billion (€1 = $1.0769).

Siemens now expects earnings per share to rise to a range around €9.15, up 2.2% from its previous guidance around a midpoint of €8.95. It also nudged up its guidance for revenue growth by 1 percentage point to 7%-10%.

“With full order books and a temporary and deliberate build-up of critical inventories, we are well prepared for further profitable growth in the upcoming quarters,” chief financial officer Ralf Thomas said in a statement.

The move reflected a strong start and improved outlook for its Digital Industries unit, one of the core divisions that it is focusing on having spun off its energy, lighting, and other businesses in recent years.

Digital Industries’ revenue is now set to grow by between 12% and 15%, up from 10%-13%, while its operating margin is now seen at around 21%, up from 20.5%. The outlook for the Smart Infrastructure division has also been revised slightly higher, but that for Mobility has remained unchanged.

The new guidance comes against a backdrop of weakness in German manufacturing, which has seen orders drop sharply since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine a year ago. Many of Germany’s factories only made it through last year by working off large amounts of business that was unfinished due to supply chain disruptions during the pandemic. Orders fell sharply in Germany at the end of 2022, but Siemens said it still expects to receive more orders than it fulfills this year.

Net profit in the first quarter of fiscal 2023 fell to €1.6B from €1.8B, as the company was forced to absorb higher energy costs.

By 08:15 ET (13:15 GMT), Siemens stock was up 7.3%, making it the best-performing stock in the DAX and the Euro Stoxx 50.

At its current level, it's only 4% below the all-time high it set in late 2021, having risen 50% since September, when Germany's looming energy crisis started to ease.

Investing.com -- Shares in Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n) gained on Monday after analysts at HSBC upgraded their rating of the German renewable energy company to buy from hold, citing the group's plans to take greater control over its Siemens Gamesa unit and hopes for the broader wind turbine industry.

Earlier this month, Siemens Energy unveiled a €1.26 billion (€1 = $1.0763) share sale to help fund its purchase of the remaining shares in Spanish-German wind turbine maker Gamesa that it does not already own. That bid, worth a total of €4.05B, was first launched in November as Siemens Energy looked to resolve problems at Gamesa following a series of profit warnings.

The HSBC analysts backed Siemens Energy's full takeover of Gamesa, citing confidence in the ability of the group's management team to fix lingering issues at the division.

They added that they are optimistic about the long-term prospects for wind turbine businesses, noting in particular that a post-pandemic drop in logistics and input costs should boost future profitability.

Siemens Energy share sell-off deepens, takes market value loss to $8 billion

FRANKFURT (Reuters) -Siemens Energy shares fell for a second consecutive session on Monday, hit by a raft of target price cuts and rating downgrades in the wake of deeper-than-expected problems at its wind turbine division that emerged last week.

It share price was down 3.3% at 1252 GMT, at the bottom of Germany's blue-chip DAX index, taking the group's loss in market valuation to 7.4 billion euros ($8.1 billion) since it scrapped its profit outlook late on Thursday.

"We are now waiting for the full results of the analysis before drawing any further conclusions," a spokesperson for the company said in response to a query from Reuters.

Citi cut the company to "neutral" from "buy" while Jefferies downgraded to "hold" from "buy", following the group's withdrawal of its 2023 profit guidance and the more than 1 billion euros it says it will cost to fix the issues.

"After the warning, while the stock is now over one-third cheaper, investor confidence in the turnaround has been severely impacted, not just because of difficult-to-quantify risks around fixing past deliveries, but also because of the lack of visibility at (Siemens Gamesa)," Citi analysts wrote.

They said depending on whether reliability issues could be contained or not, a price per share of anywhere between 11 and 34 euros was possible, adding it was key what Siemens Energy would say during third-quarter results on Aug. 7.

Its shares on Monday traded around 14 euros apiece, the lowest level in seven and a half months.

Siemens Energy was forced to publish a brief ad hoc statement late on Thursday based on limited information, withdrawing its profit outlook after it became apparent that the issues would incur costs of more than 1 billion euros.

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Siemens Energy (ETR:ENR1n) has fixed quality issues at onshore wind turbines it is currently selling to customers, the CEO of the group's wind division Siemens Gamesa said on Friday, adding the group had made progress with its turnaround.

The comments by Jochen Eickholt come after Siemens Energy this week unveiled 2.2 billion euros ($2.4 billion) in charges related to its wind division, a major setback for the group that has drawn the ire of top shareholder Siemens AG (ETR:SIEGn).

Of those charges, 1.6 billion euros are earmarked for quality issues around rotor blades and gears for its latest onshore turbine models, the 4.X and 5.X, of which roughly 2,900 are in the field.

"Although I am very disappointed that we are experiencing these issues, it's worth mentioning that the variants of the 4.X and 5.X onshore wind turbines that we are currently selling to our customers have already been modified," Eickholt said in a LinkedIn Post.

"In other words, the identified problems have been addressed and it is now a matter of rectifying them in the respective wind turbines that are already in the field."

Eickholt pointed out that Siemens Gamesa had raised prices, reduced damage liabilities and become more selective over new projects to raise profitability.

While conceding the group's "current situation is self-inflicted", he said market conditions were unfavourable for wind turbine makers, many of which have been struggling with losses in the wake of rising inflation.
